Description
Deutsch: Das Arik-Brauer-Haus an der Adresse Gumpendorfer Straße 134-136 im 6. Wiener Gemeindebezirk Mariahilf.
Das fünfstöckige Wohnhaus (33 Wohnungen, drei Geschäftslokale) wurde von dem Wiener Künstler Arik Brauer gestaltet - unter anderem mittels zwei großen Fliesenbildern an der Frontseite. Die Planung führte im Auftrag der MA 19 (Architektur und Stadtgestaltung) Peter Pelikan durch, der bereits mit Friedensreich Hundertwasser gearbeitet hatte. Das Modell wurde der Öffentlichkeit am 27. Jänner 1987 präsentiert, ab 1991 wurde das Haus errichtet und im April 1994 vom Bürgermeister Helmut Zilk eröffnet.
