Eerst werd de verkeersbrug gebouwd, later de spoorbrug. Deze foto is genomen vanaf de Hovense kant. De foto is genomen ter hoogte van de (nood)bruggen die daar door de Canadese genie in april-mei 1945 zijn aangelegd. Op de achtergrond tussen de brug door de Reesinktoren.
