Month

[edit]

The map represents the month of may 2012, not January, so the description needs to be updated in Czech, German, Romanian, Russian and Korean. comment added by 190.239.225.17

Colors

[edit]

The colors used by Statcounter in its map is better for colorblind people. I should we need switch to them. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 190.239.220.107 (talk) 14:48, 18 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Monthly update

[edit]

For suitability, the update of the map must only be made when a month is finished (when the stats are set) and once each month. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 190.239.220.107 (talk) 14:54, 18 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Request for translation

[edit]

At present the description of the map has been translated into french, Spanish, dutch, Russian, Korean, Romanian, Czech. So it would be better if it were translated into more languages like Hindi, Chinese, the official languages of European union, etc.

Update for June

[edit]
  • Portugal = Chrome
  • Sierra Leone = IE
  • Iran = Firefox
  • Qatar = Chrome

Puerto Rico

[edit]

Puerto Rico has switched to chrome a while ago, please make it green.

Antarctica

[edit]

Please remove the color for Antartica: 6 users using any browser is not really a useful stat. mabdul 12:14, 22 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with the parent, actually I suggest that Antarctica should be removed completely from the map because: (1) It is not a country, the only people occupying it are researchers, not residents, and it is not recognized as a country by any official entity such as the UN. (4) It is split in parts "belonging" to different countries, and even has a part which is not claimed by any country. (5) The description of the image reads "Most used web browser in country or dependency (...)", but Antarctica cannot be treated as a single dependent territory. (6) Antarctica is presently shown with a single color, probably because of the way the Internet is organized. Antarctica has its own Country code top-level domain (.aq) even though it is not a country. However Antarctica is different from autonomous countries and oversea regions, such as Greenland (.gl) and French Guyana (.gf) because Antarctica is not a single dependent territory. (7) On this particular map, the area of Antarctica is oversized, for instance compared to the area of South America because of the map projection which is used. This is misleading in particular when the population of Antarctica is taken into account. (8) By representing Antarctica as a single region, the maps suggests to the viewer that Antarctica is a country, which it is not. 90.184.5.10 13:10, 12 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

belize

[edit]

belize has been using firefox for about 2 years, it should be orange, it appears to be gray. --Ty Rezac (talk) 16:37, 3 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Iron

[edit]

Why is Iron one of the options? Is there any country where it is even close to being most popular? If not, it should be removed. --Taras (talk) 20:21, 7 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Protection

[edit]

Upload protection installed, this won't be lifted unless I see discussion about file content here. --Denniss (talk) 13:56, 1 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

For iformation I agree with Denniss and will be watching this page too. Thanks --Herby talk thyme 14:13, 1 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Alright. Let's summarize it. I'm a graphic expert. I made edits on svg which properly indicated European microstates. User Ty_Rezac reverted them without giving a reason. I left messages to his talk page regarding that but he did not bother to respond either. He is in constant rule violations and never bothering to respond or write reasons for his edits. (p.s. He now left a message to my talk page (dunno why he is not writing here) that I broke the rules of image uploader. Wow that's something new. So we should obey the rules of image uploader, and wikipedia and wikimedia commons are not collaborative projects?--Free ottoman (talk) 20:38, 1 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Update

[edit]
