A recording of "Hostias Et Preces" by Eugenio Terziani (1824-1889), sung the last surviving castrato of the Pope's choir, Alessandro Moreschi (1858-1922). Moreschi, as the only castrato trained in the old traditions to be recorded, provides our only insight into what a lost musical tradition was like.

“Preludio Sinfonico” in A major (Op. 1) by Giacomo Puccini. The “Preludio Sinfonico” was composed by the young Puccini for his final exam at Milan Conservatory in 1882. Although receiving poor critical reception upon its release, part of this work was reused by Puccini for Edgar and Le Villi operas.

Blue Jays also lower their crests when they are feeding peacefully with family and flock members or tending to nestlings.
