Regarding #3 (number three) upon further examination and comparison with the Bảo Đại, Dragon of Việt Nam cover I do think indeed that it is a part of the body of the dragon and not the paper scroll 📜, as for #4 (number four) I do think that it is the cross-guard of the sword, just badly illustrated, as the other image shows that the cross-guard extends wider than the sword which the encircled area does.
