Wikipedia translation of the week: 2021-43
The winner this Translation of the week is
Please be bold and help translate this article! ![]() Cape Kidnappers / Te Kauwae-a-Māui is a headland at the southeastern extremity of Hawke's Bay on the east coast of New Zealand's North Island and sits at the end of an 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) peninsula which protrudes into the Pacific Ocean. It is 20 kilometres (12 mi) south-east of the city of Napier. Access to the Cape by road stops at Clifton, which is the departure point for many tourists. The Cape Kidnappers Golf Course lies between the headland and the nearby coastal community of Te Awanga. (Please update the interwiki links on Wikidata of your language version of the article after each week's translation is finished so that all languages are linked to each other.)

2 questions
(OLD.).
Sorry for bad English, but I have 2 questions for you:
Question 1: Ordinance No: 38-L/CTN of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, dated 2 December 1994:
"Article 6.- This Ordinance shall not apply to:
1. The official texts of State agencies, political, economic and social institutions as well as their official translations;
2. Current news."
But 1995 Civil Code, Article 748:
"Article 748.- Objects under copyright protection in accordance with specific provisions of law
The following works, papers and documents are protected by the State in accordance with specific provisions:
1. Fork literary and art works;
2. Written documents of State agencies, political organizations, socio-political organizations, social organizations, socio-political organizations, social organizations, social-professional organizations, economic organizations and the translations of such documents;
3. Topical events of a purely news character."
If Law No. 50/2005/QH11 of November 29, 2005 was not retroactive, written documents of State agencies, political organizations, socio-political organizations, social organizations, socio-political organizations, social organizations, social-professional organizations, economic organizations and the translations of such documents from July 1, 1996 to January 1, 2006 (1995 Civil Code was applied) are still under copyright protection?
Question 2: Ordinance No: 38-L/CTN of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, dated 2 December 1994:
"Article 17.-
4. Copyright as stipulated in Items 1, 4, 5 and 6 of Article 10 of this Ordinance shall belong to the State when their term expires."
If new laws were not retroactive, works, of which terms of protection had expired from December 2, 1994 to July 1, 1996 (Ordinance No: 38-L/CTN was applied) shall belong to the State, not to the public?

28/10
@Donald Trung: Trước đây e có tải 1 file lên: "SUBMISSION TO THE COMMISSION ON THE LIMITS OF THE CONTINENTAL SHELF PURSUANT TO ARTICLE 76, PARAGRAPH 8 OF THE UNITED NATIONS CONVENTION ON THE LAW OF THE SEA 1982" (nguồn). Ltn12345 (talk) 11:20, 28 October 2021 (UTC)
- @Ltn12345: , interesting. I actually haven't worked with many United Nations (UN) files before so I can't say that I am knowledgeable in this field yet as I would have to dedicate some time to investigate. As for why these files were deleted my guess is that because "PD-VietnamGov" only applies to official texts and not any other publications like maps, I would advise you to file an undeletion request and explain your reasoning, or you could open a discussion at the Copyright © Village Pump. I wish I could be of more help, but I want to finish my older uploads first and that will require most of my free time. --Donald Trung 『徵國單』 (No Fake News 💬) (WikiProject Numismatics 💴) (Articles 📚) 11:29, 28 October 2021 (UTC)

Reply tool available
Copied from: https://commons.m.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Commons:Village_pump#/editor/31
Hello, all.
The Editing team is offering the [reply] tool to everyone at Commons. This tool makes it easy to reply to a comment in a discussion. It automatically adds your signature at the end, and it counts all the ::::
colons for you. There is a visual mode for anyone who prefers that, and a live preview for people using the wikitext source mode.
If you want, you can turn it on now at Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-betafeatures. You can also test it on this page by clicking this link: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Village_pump?dtenable=1 These options will give you the [reply] button plus other tools, such as the [subscribe] tool. Only the [reply] tool would be turned on for everyone. Everything else will remain accessible only through the Beta Feature.
If you don't like the reply tool, you will be able to turn it off at Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-editing-discussion.
Contributors who deal with tech stuff may wish to put these two pages on their watchlists: mw:Help:DiscussionTools and mw:Help:DiscussionTools/Why can't I reply to this comment? The second page is useful for de-bugging.
This tool has been very popular at other wikis, but I particularly wanted to ask you all what you thought of it. It gets used about 20 times a day here at Commons. I expect that it will be most useful at pages like this, and less useful for voting-style pages. What do you think? Whatamidoing (WMF) (talk) 20:04, 1 November 2021 (UTC)
MLM description
A screenshot of an internet scam advertised on Google's YouTube platform, notice that it uses a number of psychological tricks to bait people in, for example its URL includes the word "legit" (short for "legitimate") to convince people that it's a real educational course, it includes bolded amounts of money which are likely more indicative of what individuals are going to spend than to earn, a countdown clock which makes it seem like there are only a few minutes after opening the webpage until the window to take the supposed "limited offer" is over, notice also the clock showing the current time (as of capturing the screenshot) to attempt to make people think that the timer above it is their last chance.
The language of "converting strangers into paying costumers" is indicative that this website sells participation in a pyramid scheme.
