NOINDEX[edit]

With all due respect, this point needs serious rework. NOINDEX is a valid measure against index pollution, to demotivate spammers, and to confine some internal disputes (e.g. ArbCom dramas in wikipedias) within back yards. How is it appropriate to modest portraits of Wikimedians, indeed? Incnis Mrsi (talk) 13:47, 17 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Incnis Mrsi: , well the No_indexing of pages seems to be a favourite of Wikimedians, drafts, concept articles, user pages, Etc. Usually get noindex'ed, I am not a fan of it and it's usually used as a punitive measure against users, but it seems to be a compromise that might make the idea "more passable" for deletionists as they probably would argue that selfies will "pollute search results" or something. I am not a fan of it, but it's a part of the suggestion to make it more "acceptable" for opponents. --Donald Trung (Talk 💬) (WikiProject Numismatics 💴) (Articles 📚) 18:51, 17 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
