- Commons only allows media that is freely licensed as defined here. In short this means that any image must allow commercial use and derivative works. The reason for this is to maximise the freedom to reuse wikipedia and wikipedia articles. I hope that explains it. /Lokal_Profil 01:00, 27 February 2008 (UTC)

Undeletion of Image:Kok Bayraq.svg

- I'd suggest contacting the original uploader of the file (User:Urmas) to ask him where he got it from. Undeleting either version would mean it'd get deleted again (either for having no source, as the original upload did, or for having no license, as the second re-upload by User:Riwnodennyk did). - Since the source is probably easier to sort out than the license, can you tell me how the original was licensed? As you know, copyright on images is not my area of expertise. =) xenocidic (talk) 18:12, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
- It was tagged with {{PD-self}}. But, we still require a source for it, even if that's just the uploader saying "self made". Lewis Collard! (hai thar, wut u doin) 18:15, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
- One last thing, then I'll leave you alone (well, 'til next time anyways ;>), is Image:Flag of the Crimean Tatar people.PNG pretty much the same as the one I've linked above or is there significant differences?
