Uploading a series of pictures

When uploading a series of pictures, it should be possible to add a category to ALL pictures, and to change the language of the description for ALL pictures in one single step. Licensing options

The wizard does not provide for (or I didn't find where it does) images that are derivatives of other files on Commons. Such images are clearly not my work and they are supposed to have acceptable licenses. The information should be automatically extracted from the original file description/license sections, and the wizard must just ask me what modifications I have made, and add a relevant template, such as Retouched picture, Extracted from, etc., and, preferably, cross-links (in the Other versions section) between the original and derivative files.

Watching files

I can find no option in the wizard to add the file to my upload list. This means after I'm all "finished" I have to click through to the file and add it to my watchlist manually. Which isn't even a navigation choice on the bottom. I need to move to the left to click under the image to go there. Crossmr (talk) 23:07, 9 October 2011 (UTC)

When you click on "my preferences" (right top of the screen) and then on the tab "watch list" you can mark the line at the bottom that should have a text like "track the pages that I have generated automatically". Convert patented formats to OGG and OGV on the server

Why do there are no converters from patented formats (MP3, WAV, WMA, FLAC, Quicktime, AVI,...) to OGG and OGV implemented on the server? Blank edit summaries

Uploads done through the upload wizard do not provide an edit summary. This is a considerable degradation in utility compared to the old upload process. I was recently asked about why I had tagged a file for deletion after it had already been deleted. Such questions are now much harder to answer because of the wizard. Compare the upload log for the file in question with that of another file uploaded by the same user using the old upload process. Since the format of the Upload Wizard's output is more predetermined than that of the old form (that is, it always results in a {{Information}} template), there's an opportunity to be more informative. To use the limited space effectively, I'd suggest a format like "L: {{Cc-by-sa-3.0}}; A: John Q. Author; S: {{Own}}; description, or however much of it we can fit before reaching the cutoff." —LX (talk, contribs) 19:01, 17 October 2011 (UTC)

I think it would be much useful adding some Javascript code on images submitting (and/or on filename input onblur), where it verifies that the filenames in the different files are not equal. renaming the file

I just uploaded two files under names like IMG_2345.jpg without realizing that these will be the names in Commons. I like I can upload several files at once, but I do not like that I have to rename them before uploading.

Why does th upload intro picture not have a list of allowable formats? Why is there not a link to the allowable formats? Need to "unselect" an image

An hour ago I uploaded several files to a not yet existent neighborhood category, and each gave a notice during categorization that, among other things, only an "expert" should create categories. Good; as it happens I'm an "expert" in that sense if no other, and this is a proper warning for uploaders who don't understand our arcane (at least to non-Wikkans) category system. Досега качените от мен снимки на портрет и корици на книги са моя лична собственост и въпреки, че многократно съм го обяснила, бивам обвинявана във вандализъм и посегателство към чужди творби. I got an error msg (didn't write down of course) trying to upload an image; I think it's because I used "{" and "}" in the description. I did:
Add nine pictures (73 MB)
upload them, which lasted more than one hour
Still one hour later added metadata, which took another 30 minutes.
Then clicked "continue" (or whatever the button is named)
