If you hold the copyright to an image and upload it here and release under a free licese, it has been released. So other people can use it under that same license thereafter. Commons is not a place for temporary images. However you can list the image at Commons:Deletion requests (Commons:Solicitud de borrado). Or if there is a problem that you were not the copyright holder or the license is not free, please explain and it may qualify for Speedy deletion. If I can be of more help, ask. Not quite. The wording on the template quoted the webmaster of the source site, www.presidencia.gub.uy, that the site "is for public use". This was judged to be unclear as to if it allowed content to be free licenced and reused; see the deletion request discussion linked above. Clarification was asked for but did not come. There were no additional developments I could find evidence of, and the template had not been edited since 17 July (the most recent edits having been placing the deletion request on it and a slight edit of the deletion request template. Thank you for taking an interest in this event in my city! The bagette or po-boy loaf is the type of bread used for the sandwich the festival was celebrating. en:Limbo (dance) is a dance where you dance under a pole, but here people decided to do it with the bread instead of a pole. Hi. I saw you removed "Category:Thomas Jefferson" from Image:1869USG.JPG. Please note the depiction of Jefferson on the left of the image, an essential part of the point of the cartoon. Hi Infrogmation, I understand what you are saying, but please note that Wikimedia Commons is not as the same as Wikipedia. If it's Wikipedia, any descriptions of the cartoon may be related to both Grant's and Jefferson's articles. But in Commons, the image of it is intended to make fun of nothing but Grant's inauguration procession.

deletion[edit]

Hi,

Since recently I work at a photographers group. Due to the inner regulations within the establishment I am obliged to make sure non of my pictures are accompanied with a free license. My pictures should be licensed under the following license: Attribution-Noncommercial-No Derivative Works 2.0 Belgium (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/2.0/be/deed.en_US). Scince this is not compattible with this site I asked for the removal. I'm using the copyvio because the license mentioned above is already placed upon the images.

Ahora, la imagen que acabas de borrar no se trata del logo de la película, sino de un recorte de esta imagen: Image:HSM2-Italy.jpg, que sí se encuentra en dominio público. Espero la repongas a la brevedad, costo bastante quitarle el cable (y con Paint!, jaja, y también tenía el color modificado, pero ya con Photoshop). Exacto, la publicidad de Disney no está en dominio público, por eso la imagen original (Image:HSM2-Italy.jpg) no es una publicidad, es una fotografía de una calle que se ampara en la Libertad de Panorama, y cuyo autor decidió ponerla en PD. Short van[edit]

I believe the van in Image:MarentoAntiflagBusAug07FrontLeft.jpg is a heavily customized and shortened Volkswagen T2, I am assuming it has been modified to do wheelies at some point due to the small wheels sticking out of the rear. In the early 90's there was a trend started by the Beastie Boys to steal the Logos from VW's, particularly the ones of T2 vans as they were large and highly desirable, hence still T2 vans are often lacking their VW branding. The image you link to Image:VW Bus T2c Silberfisch2 002.jpg appears to be a very late Brazilian version of the T2 van with several detail differences, The van in this image Image:Volkswagen T2 13-4-07.jpg appears to be a similar age and shows the windows and doors more similar to the modified version. It is my belief that the customizer has taken the middle window section out of a T2 van to create this vehicle Oxyman 18:55, 6 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What do you mean with Source="El Conflicto del Beagle, edited by the chilean Foreign Affairs Office, 1978, Switzerland" not "Template:PD-ineligible"? I know where I took the image from. I choose Template:PD-ineligible because such a map can be done with GMT very easy. There is nothing to be protected . I replaced the original image with

, that show you that there is nothing to protect. I can reproduce every detail of the original map without any help of the author of the original map.

Please, be so kind to reload the map or contribute with your arguments to the discussion.

Gwen Stefani photos and OTRS[edit]

OK, here's the situation: the permission is sort of dodgy but it can be accepted. However, the information on those pictures is plain wrong. BritneyTV is not the author, she's uploading from someone's account on Flickr and not giving proper attribution/source. I'll send an e-mail to the author on Flickr thanking him for licensing the photos to double check that everything's ok, but we have to change the given info on the pictures and warn the user before that. I'll take care of it :).
