- Info Stained glass window in the former Longwy steel factory by Louis Majorelle. Artistic value : Longwy steel factory's stained glasses are the only stained glasses by major artist Louis Majorelle and are a remarquable example of Art Déco. Historical value : the stained glasses illustrate the history of steel factory which had a huge impact on the area. Léna (talk) 11:55, 6 June 2013 (UTC)]]

Oppose for the moment:The current description, especially the license tag is not sufficient. It completely negelects the copyright status of the window itself. If the window was created before 1923, {{PD-old-auto-1923|1926}} might be the right choice for the window. Please add the year of creation to the description so we can figure out what template fits best here. If you wish to keep an additional CC-0 tag for your part of the work, that should be fine I guess. I have also added {{Creator:Louis Majorelle}} to the "author=" field (in addition to your name). BTW: All this basically applies to all the files in the category. Sorry for being such a pedant – I'll be happy to support as soon as that's resolved. --El Grafo (talk) 14:06, 7 June 2013 (UTC)- While I agree with you that it's not clearly described that the artwork is PD, I'm pretty sure it's simple to fix with {{Art photo}} and Commons:International copyright quick reference guide :-). - I have no doubt that this is fixable – would already have done that myself if the year of creation had been available. I wouldn't even insist on {{Art photo}} – looks like a real monster of a template ;-) --El Grafo (talk) 15:12, 7 June 2013 (UTC)
- Hi, thanks for pointing this issue out. Actually, it is not {{PD-1923}}, since the stained glass were created in 1928 (and designed / conceived earlier). However, Majorelle, the copyright holder, died in 1926, so the artwork was in public domain in France in 1996 (as early as 1985 because at that time PD was 50 years postmortem). So PD-1996. - Great! I've changed the template to {{PD-old-auto-1996}}, so that the copyright status in France (and other countries) is also mentioned. Support of course, as promised above. --El Grafo (talk) 21:09, 7 June 2013 (UTC)
