A number of users have over several years produced huge numbers of fake flags and coats of arms for subdivisions of the Dominican Republic and other states. The editor currently active, Santiago RD, has uploaded several hundred such images. They do not respond to any questions about sources. Similar flags have repeatedly been removed, see Commons:Deletion requests/DR Provincial flags, Commons:Deletion requests/DR Hoax flags and Commons:Deletion requests/DR Hoax flags 2. This is a test case for a small batch of such images. Others are found at Category:Flags of municipalities of the Dominican Republic, Category:Fictitious flags of the Districts of the Bahamas etc.

• • There is a long history of unsourced and presumably hoax flags for sub-national units of the Dominican Republic being added to and deleted from the English Wikipedia and Commons:

    A partial set of flag images uploaded to the English Wikipedia and quickly deleted because of lack of sourcing in 2007

    A partial set of flag images deleted from Commons as "Out of scope, hoax" in 2012.

    A partial set of flag images deleted from Commons becasue of "repeatedly uploaded fake flags/massive spam of fake images" in 2013.

    A partial set of flag images deleted from Commons because of "formerly deleted hoax flags" and Commons:Deletion requests/DR Hoax flags in 2016.

  • User: Tu-nor and I have been searching unsuccessfully for sources for these sub-national unit flags, both for the Dominican Republic and for other countries. User:Santiago RD, who uploaded the latest set of flag images, has been registered since 2009, but has never responded to any post on his talk pages, including several requests for sourcing for the flags, on Commons and on the English Wikipedia. - Donald Albury (talk) 16:40, 5 June 2019 (UTC)
• Some hours ago Santiago RD has removed the {{delete}} template and the {{fictitious flag}} template from all the flags in this list and moved all of them from Category:Fictitious flags of municipalities of the Dominican Republic to Category:Flags of municipalities of the Dominican Republic without giving a reason. I hope this deletion request now can be answered quickly, since there are literally hundreds of more similar flags to report as soon as these are "out of the way". --TU-nor (talk) 08:11, 20 June 2019 (UTC)

•  Delete Per hoax. This user also uploaded some hoax flags from Panama.
