Jwalamukhi is a symbolic form of Hindu goddess. Jvalamukhi temples are found in many parts of the Himalayan foothills, particularly in Himachal Pradesh and Kashmir. Her temples are also found in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and Nepal.
The most famous of these is the Jvalamukhi Shaktipeetha in Jwala ji, Himachal Pradesh. Along with Naina Devi, Chintpurni, Bajreshwari and Chamunda Devi, Jwalamukhi completes the five historic and sacred Shakti tradition Hindu tirtha in the Himalayas.
Jwalamukhi is also the name of the town that hosts the Jvalamukhi temple pilgrimage site.
