Kintra is a geographic region on the south of Laggan Bay, south of Islay Airport. Through it the Kintra River egresses into the bay. The area, across The Oa from Port Ellen, and south of Bowmore, is mainly recreational, featuring Kintra Farm with campgrounds, Machrie Hotel, Machrie Golf Course or Machrie Links, sometimes redundantly Machrie Links Golf Course, and the seven-mile beach, Tràigh a' Mhachaire.

Not to be confused with the category: Kintra — a location of the same name on the northwestern coast of the Ross of Mull.
