Category:Fremont, Washington[edit]

I think this is a duplicate of Category:Fremont, Seattle, Washington. Mike Peel (talk) 12:32, 30 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. I expect Category:Fremont, Washington is sufficient. - Themightyquill (talk) 14:12, 30 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Either way is OK for me. Category:Fremont, Washington is the newer category, created in 2009(!), compared to the other created in 2006. Thanks. Mike Peel (talk) 17:32, 30 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Mike Peel: The wikipedia article is at en:Category:Fremont, Seattle. Should we follow that? - Themightyquill (talk) 21:46, 16 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Fine by me. Thanks Mike Peel (talk) 22:05, 16 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Moved both to Category:Fremont, Seattle, Washington. -- Themightyquill (talk) 08:37, 11 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Seems like an odd decision[edit]

No one posted anything about the possibility of the above move at the 15-year-old (!) Category:Fremont, Seattle, Washington and that has now been left as not even a soft redirect. Further, this is now out of pattern with over 80 other Seattle neighborhoods. Either someone should add {{Cat redirect}} there and put in the work to change those 80+ categories (most of them also over a decade old, by the way, so certainly deserving soft cat redirects) or it should be moved back to where it was for 15 years before being deleted without discussion.

PINGING @Mike Peel: ; I have already remarked more or less the above to UserThemightyquill on his talk page. - Jmabel ! talk 03:54, 12 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Jmabel: I did ask you about this category at User_talk:Jmabel#Fremont but got no response. I don't mind what name it is at, I just wanted to verify that this was a ~12-year-old duplicate and get it merged. Thanks. Mike Peel (talk) 07:28, 12 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Mike Peel: Sorry, missed that, my bad. For what it's worth, I've been VERY busy on non-wiki stuff, making a transition back to being a professional musician as such a thing becomes possible again post-Covid. - Jmabel ! talk 18:12, 12 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Jmabel: No worries, at least it's sorted out now? Thanks. Mike Peel (talk) 19:22, 12 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
