Eurasian tree sparrows feeding from the hand in Ueno Park, Tokyo, Japan
  •  Comment The sparrows I'm most familiar with are house sparrows, as there are many of them in New York, and by analogy, I felt confident that the sparrow on the left was a male and the one on the right was a female, based on their feathers (and moreover, that they were probably a couple).
