- Support Nice. You should mention whether this is in a museum (and if so, which one), a private collection or something you photographed at a shop or something. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 23:07, 15 September 2020 (UTC)

- Request hate to be that guy, but please provide copyright and authorship information for your subjects. --El Grafo (talk) 08:05, 16 September 2020 (UTC)

- Comment Surely El Grafo meant the copyright of the underlying artwork; see also COM:TOYS. --A.Savin 21:39, 16 September 2020 (UTC)
- Yes, I'm talking about the skulls here, not about the photo. See COM:DW. Don't know if they're supposed to be art, mass-produced decorative items or toys, but they are certainly not primarily utilitarian and above the threshold of originality. We can only keep them here if they're not subject to copyright for some reason, and in order for this to become FP this needs to be documented properly. --El Grafo (talk) 09:23, 17 September 2020 (UTC)
- Comment @Ikan Kekek & El Grafo There are unsigned pieces of a private collection in San Miguel Allende. As is almost always the case with Artesanías Mexicanas (Mexican curious) they are reinterpretations of very common cultural icons and I don´t think that they are truly original works. This type of figures can be found in just about any market in Mexico during Day of the Dead celebrations. --Tomascastelazo (talk) 17:38, 17 September 2020 (UTC)

- Oppose Copyright information for the original work still not added to the file page, and I'm not convinced by the rationale given above. --El Grafo (talk) 07:43, 21 September 2020 (UTC)
- Comment El Grafo I suggest you read Mexican law. Between the Law and your opinion, I choose the Law. Under your rationale just about every picture of any object that depicts cultural ideas should be then be deleted. Mexican law refers to this type of work derivative work and it lacks enough originality to be granted copyright, on top of it not being signed. This is one of the millions of variants of skulls that relate to Mexican culture and death, day of the dead celebrations, etc. --Tomascastelazo (talk) 19:03, 21 September 2020 (UTC)
- Then please find the appropriate template in Category:PD Mexico license tags and add it to the file description page. Keep in mind that Mexican law alone is not enough for the file to remain, it also needs a template for the US (→ Category:PD US license tags). --El Grafo (talk) 07:46, 22 September 2020 (UTC)
