Description
English: A red Alfa Romeo 33/2 "Daytona" type, possibly at the Targa Florio race somewhere on the island of Sicily on May 5, 1968. There were 4 of these racing. Since there is no race number on this car, it is not one of the competitors.
It lacks the Alfa Romeo metal grille symbol in the front (only a small circle emblem), and thus does look very much like the prototype that was made in the winter of 1967/68, before the Daytona races which were held very early 1968 ([1])So maybe this is not at Targa Florio at all.

The country of origin of this photograph is Italy. It is in the public domain there because its copyright term has expired. According to Law for the Protection of Copyright and Neighbouring Rights n.633, 22 April 1941 and later revisions, images of people or of aspects, elements and facts of natural or social life, obtained with photographic process or with an analogue one, including reproductions of figurative art and film frames of film stocks (Art. 87) are protected for a period of 20 years from creation (Art. 92).
