Deutsch: „Das Grieser wurde am 9. Jänner 1973 verliehen. Es zeigt drei schwarze Wehrtürme auf goldenem Schild. Es versinnbildlicht die Befestigungsanlage Lueg mit den Vorwerken beim Morhäusl und am Schlossegg. Gleichzeitig soll es auch die ehamligen Riegate Ritten, Niedererberg und Nösslach symbolisieren.“
English: »The coat of arms of Gries was granted on January 9, 1973. It shows three black defense towers on a golden shield. It symbolizes the Lueg fortification with the barbicanes at Morhäusl and at Schlossegg. At the same time, it is also said to symbolize the ruthless riegate (=forerunner of municipalities) Ritten, Niedererberg and Nösslach.«

Außerdem gibt es regional sehr viele Unterschiede, so ist ein Spanisches WikiProjekt eher ockerfarben und ein Bayrisches Projekt neongelb. So wird es wohl in der Hand der Gemeinde liegen und nicht von einer Person bestimmt werden, die...

Wenn das Wappen aber auf der offiziellen Website https://www.griesambrenner.tirol.gv.at der Gemeinde in dieser Farbe vorhanden ist, dann ist das auch die offizielle Farbe und da es nicht von Grund auf komplett neu gezeichnet werden musste, trifft dieser Designvorschlag von Wikipedia nicht zu.
