14.3.2022 edit

[edit]

@Dominic: can you explain this edit Revision #638269399? You removed Category:Media contributed by the National Archives and Records Administration via DPLA and other categories from this template, do you intend to empty these categories completely? MKFI (talk) 08:53, 16 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@MKFI: Thanks so much for mentioning it. I'm not sure how I did that. Mainly, I was just trying to make sure the text didn't appear broken when the hub parameter was missing, but I must have deleted those lines by accident. Hopefully whatever categorization was lost doesn't take too long to repopulate. Dominic (talk) 15:40, 17 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Parsing errors

[edit]

I commented out {{DPLA/hub cat}} and {{DPLA/inst cat}} which are causing 3.8M pages with parsing errors. Cryptic-waveform (talk) 18:20, 11 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Lua errors

[edit]

@Dominic: File:"Four Freedoms" with T-5 Norma Boudreau and M. Sgt. Louis Dovilla - DPLA - 69035ec6151f5ce80e71ac1945b54676 (page 2).jpg has some Lua errors. I dont know enough about the code to figure out what it is, but I suspect that the issue is that you query Q30289637 item which is a redirect. The link must be hardwired somewhere. --Jarekt (talk) 02:34, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This was mentioned at User_talk:Dominic. I think there used to be two Wikidata entries, one for the institution and one for the building it's in, but they got merged. Not entirely sure what the issue is, either. Ah... if I took out all the arguments to the DPLA template, the issue was still there. I did notice there were two "aggregator" references in the structured data, so I removed one of them. Well I guess the Indiana Historical bureau was there as both an "aggregator" and a "repository", and there were other aggregators, so I removed the aggregator reference for that. The issue seems to be gone. Both the page 1 and page 2 files had that issue. Carl Lindberg (talk) 03:07, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
