Hi there;
I am massively impressed with the work you have done so far as regards historical Royal Navy uniforms.
I've got a huge interest in Royal Navy uniforms from the very beginnings in 1748 to the present day, and am very interested in helping out in any way I can with any of the uniform details of any of the uniform illustrations you've done so far.
I have particular interest in:
- The ceremonial day dress uniforms, as worn from 1960 to the present day.
- The single-breasted frock coat uniforms worn by certain chief petty Officers from 1877 to 1890, and by Masters at Arms from the 1870s to the 1950s.
- The 'class III' uniforms worn by junior civil branch ratings from 1890 to 1956 (and by Engine Room Artificer Apprentices and Hong Kong local entry ratings until 1997)
- The white tropical uniforms worn by all ranks and rates.
etc.
Please let me know if there's any information regarding any uniforms you wish to discuss or clarify.
Yours,
