About Me

[edit]

Chase Porter is my real name, though I prefer to be named as "C Porter". Been a music lover for nearly a decade. The decades I focus on and am knowledgeable in is 1900s - 1950s. No Elvis though. Of course with this, I have a love for 78rpm records. Other subjects have sprouted off like Titanic and several other ships, as well as the tragic story of Floyd Collins.

Another of which is an interest in the often overlooked and unfairly treated former branch of the U.S. Government: Civil Defense, which page here needs a ton of work, though I want to become more experienced before I go into that.

Pages I plan to create

[edit]

1. Charles Lawman a crooner and vocal trainer of the 1920s to early 1930s.

2. Strong Records a very obscure record label that, against it's name, only seemed to last 1 year (1923). So little has came up that it even stumped the legendary discographer Brian Rust, and hasn't much on it online.

3. Joseph Andre a music director in Ontario from the 1920s who disappeared under mysterious circumstances, who might have well been Ambrose Small under a different name.

Pages I plan to update

[edit]

1. Jack Ross Musician from the 1950s, and as of writing, it has literally a singular line on it. That's under a stub.

2. Mike Parish co-writer of the famous 1927 song Star Dust

3. Will Osborne Canadian crooner-bandleader from the 1920s - 1940s, being criminally underrated for many reasons. Astoundingly, not even the biased information for why he is (which has been accepted as factual) is no where on his page. I figure at one point I'll get around to giving him a page that isn't a stub, but the reason I've held off is because of 1: His Stepson is planning on working further on it personally; 2. I'm writing a book on Will and don't want to spoil much on it; 3.
