AAFC Badge[edit]

You recently uploaded File:Crest of the Australian Air Force Cadets.jpg to Wikimedia Commons. Notwithstanding your justification for copyright exemption, this image is copyrighted by the Commonwealth of Australia. This is the original version of the AAFC Badge published by the AAFC in 2001. While the electronic file may have morphed several times since then, the artwork contained in the file is the 2001 Badge version authorised by the AAFC. This could be uploaded to Wikipedia and used under a fair use rationale (there are many such examples of similar copyright heraldic badges being used in this way in similar circumstances - for an example, see [1]) however, it cannot be retained on Wikimedia Commons which is only for public domain images.
