Goodies, tips, and tricks Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities. You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads. Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

Categorisering uploads

Hi Characea, thank you for contributing your nice pictures to Wikimedia. My question is: would it be possible for you to spend some time on categorizing? Most if not all are uncategorized, and since they have generic names containing different topics it will be hard for volunteers to find the exact location and the right categories, if they are not able to recognize the depicted landscapes by personal experience. I'm happy to see the images of Roderveld, but the description mentions also Oldenzaal and Ootmarsem and more, if you could revisit all your uploads (check your list of contibutions) and at least make the descriptions as specific as possible, that would be of much help for people who enjoy categorizing and have enough experience to find the proper (deepest) categories. If coördinates could be added, this would also help very much in finding the right categories. Thank you. Bedankt, Danke. Er is iets raars aan de hand waardoor ik wel de stappen kan maken om Roderveld toe te voegen als categorie maar in mijn fav browser is een glitch waardoor het niet zichtbaar wordt. It does not stick. Sorry, daarom kan ik het nu niet verder doen, zelfs het bewerkingsvenster opent niet. Maar heb wel ontdekt dat te coördinaten in de exif staan, dat scheelt een stuk in het achterhalen van de exacte locaties. Hulpmiddelen die U kunt activeren in uw gebruikersinstellingen: Voorkeuren -> tabblad: Uitbreidingen -> subkop: Hulpmiddelen voor categorieën -> enable HotCat en/of Cat-a-lot. De coordinaten staan in EXIF maar toevoegen categorien is zo onduidelijk. Waarom verschijnen de fotos met GPS coordinanten niet op https://wikimap.toolforge.org/ Moet er ergens een tag "Object Location" of "Camera Location" gevuld worden ? - Unsigned answer by Characea, 30 mei 2022 18:16
