Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

Template: Maps of the world

Hi Hamster, are you certain you know what you want to achieve? If you just wanted a gallery of maps you uploaded, you can make one much easier, just using <gallery>. We already have public templates like Template:Maps_of_the_history_of_Europe which are honestly just bad, because they are essentially just a link-list to a few dozen maps, while Commons already hosts thousands of history maps just for that region of the world. --Enyavar (talk) 15:34, 17 July 2023 (UTC)

Hello, I just want to post maps online so I don't have to hold on to them on my computer and so I don't have to keep doing the same research each time I go to the same region. I'm completely new to Wikimedia and coding so I just did whatever I could. I'm not sure if uploading things like this are a problem. Thank you for reaching out and I'm sorry for the late response.
