Definition of visiting a country;[edit]

Definition of visiting a country; Your full body must cross the border and you must make direct or indirect contact with its soil.

Entering territorial waters or airspace-- does count. Driving through a country - even if one does not stop -- does count, Landing in a country- even if one does not deplane--does count. It is not necessary to set foot outside an airport, train station or harbour to count. In order to count you need at least one prove you have been there; passport stamps, travel visa, hotel bookings, money withdrawals, credit card payments, cellphone data, photos/selfies, etc.

If you have visited a country that no longer exists, changed its name, territory or annexed in war, you change or add the name on your list. You don’t need to return to that place in order to count.

It is not necessary to clear customs/immigration of the country in order to count. — Preceding unsigned comment was added by 84.82.85.252 (talk) 12:41, 6 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
