Watermarks
[edit]First of all, i want to thank you for your picture uploads until now. This images would, however, be even more useful if you did not add digital watermarks in the pictures. In Wikimedia Commons, credits to the author are given at the pictures description page, not in the form of digital watermarks in the picture itself. If you add watermarks, it is likely to have following outcome:
- the use of the picture in articles is stongly disencouraged in most language versions
- the watermark will be deleted (if not today, then later) with loss quality.
So, please do not add watermarks in further picture uplads. Thanks. Andy king50 (talk) 14:00, 18 January 2014 (UTC)
New versions of existing files
[edit]Uploads of "New versions" of existing files should be done if there is a new version from nearly same point of view (basicly the same image content) but with higher quality, higher resolution etc. In your case the new files resolution was much lower and they showed the subject from a different point of view. So I reverted this two uploads. So please reupload the files as new files, if possible with a higher resolution, and without watermark. Thank You. 14:08, 18 January 2014 (UTC)
