Tianjin ranks as the third largest city in China. It is a municipality directly under central government. Tianjin is located in northern China adjacent to Beijing and Bohai Sea and encircled by Hebei Province. It is divided into 15 districts and 3 counties. Originaly called Zhigu, it was built in 1409.
