Welcome Swallow image use - Parks Australia[edit]

Hi KeresH, My name is Owen Carroll, and I work for Parks Australia. We are currently putting together a new birdwatching brochure for the Norfolk Island National Park, and I would like to talk to you about the possible use of one your photographs, the Welcome Swallow (Hirundo neoxena) that is up on wikicommons. I understand it is under a creative commons license, but I am pretty sure I will still need a note of approval or similar (for Dept. of Environment records), and also thought it polite to contact you about correct credit details, etc! If you could send me and email sometime about this that would be fantastic. Thanks in advance, ParksAustralia (talk) 23:46, 16 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Young tasmanian devil.jpg[edit]

Dear Keresh,

I would like to use this photo "Young tasmanian devil.jpg" in a textbook on Conservation Biology. I would appreciate if you give the permission to reproduce it. If you agree, please let me know and precise youyr references. Thank you to note that, without response from you within a month, I take it that the permission granted to me. Best regards,

Jane.

Hi KeresH,

this file is being reused in this figure of an otherwise CC BY-licensed scholarly article - a form of reuse that is actually not allowed by the CC BY-SA license that you had assigned to the file on Commons. Would it be possible for you to re-license the file under CC BY 2.5, so as to make it compatible with the rest of the article? Thanks and cheers, -- Daniel Mietchen - WiR/OS (talk) 22:24, 28 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi KeresH, Thank you to Daniel for pointing this discrepancy out to us. We would be most grateful if you could provide permission to use this image in the article above under CC BY 2.5. If you are able to do so, please could you let us know at plosbiology@plos.org, or via me. Many thanks. Katharine Norman, Editorial Manager, PLOS Biology.
