File:Gents- Toilet -SignboardinHindi (with arrow).jpg[edit]

Out of scope. Ugly MS-paint creation, not a real picture. Ices2Csharp (talk) 12:53, 3 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that this might be an "ugly creation" just as Death Certificate of Bhagat Singh or Old Travancore Stamp or Hindi Poster for the First Wiki Conference in India 2011 or One Yuan or King Hussain's Autographed Photo or Multiple Fountains in a garden. But dear Carlos, as a person with a high degree of knowledge about ugliness or beauty of images, have you uploaded at least one single image on Commons? Hindustanilanguage (talk) 05:40, 4 May 2012 (UTC).[reply]
This DR has nothing to do with how many images I uploaded, nothing. I have my share in adding pictures to Wikipedia articles. Ices2Csharp (talk) 07:07, 4 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The real question is whether it's realistically useful for an educational purpose. The answer is... it's about as useful as the thousands of other useless images that get uploaded to Commons every day. Commons seems to be a dumping ground for every patently useless image of non-notable crap that every user with a cellphone camera and a little extra energy sees fit to upload to any web site that will take it. So on that basis... keep. – JBarta (talk) 07:26, 4 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Commons has become the conglomeration of individuals who never upload a single file and yet have tons to say about other user uploads. And although one of these two might have been blocked for "Incorrect and mass nomination of files as "out of scope", editor warned twice but still continues to nominate" , yet this very person finds supporters for his fanciful causes. Hindustanilanguage (talk) 10:46, 4 May 2012 (UTC).[reply]
All else aside, how many images a user uploads is irrelevant when considering his deletion request. You would be doing yourself a great favor if you never suggested that again. – JBarta (talk) 11:14, 4 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
You're absolutely right, JBarta, in yesteryears there was a tradition of practising something yourself first and then preaching. In today's world, morality is non-existent. Hindustanilanguage (talk) 17:05, 4 May 2012 (UTC).[reply]

 Delete} Fake, unused, unnecessary, non-educational. Chesdovi (talk) 13:54, 4 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Sholam Chesdovi, I respect your strong views about the file, but this file just showcases the "The Gents Toilet" in Hindi, like other texts and images in French, English, Hebrew, etc. Hindustanilanguage (talk) 17:05, 4 May 2012 (UTC).[reply]
Question Is this photo original? Looking at the text orientation, to me it looks like the text was added later. --Sreejith K (talk) 12:44, 23 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
The text orientation is shaky because a paper was pasted in a haphazard manner over the signboard. Still it's a signboard pointing to gents toilet in Hindi just as similar signboards in other languages in the category such as this file whether used or not on other Wiki Projects. Hindustanilanguage (talk) 05:17, 25 May 2012 (UTC).[reply]
I don't believe that. This text was clearly added to the file, in the same font as in the other file you uploaded: File:Gents- Toilet -SignboardinHindi.jpg - Ices2Csharp (talk) 07:08, 25 May 2012 (UTC).[reply]
If some authoritative person compares "Purush" (Man/Gents) in devanagari, the difference is all too obvious, specially the middle "ru". Hindustanilanguage (talk) 07:19, 25 May 2012 (UTC).[reply]
I can read and write Hindi. They both are in the same font and is not hand written. I am voting for  Delete since the image is not genuine. --Sreejith K (talk) 08:30, 25 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Firstly, I never said this was handwritten. Second, रु is clearly distinct and so is the text rendering. Hindustanilanguage (talk) 10:25, 25 May 2012 (UTC).[reply]
That's the point of the deletion request. It's not a photo of an actual sign, it's an amateurish cobbled together piece of useless crap that purports to show what such a sign might look like if someone were to actually take a picture of one. – JBarta (talk) 18:05, 23 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Delete Poorly photoshopped textbox that serves no encyclopaedic purpose, out of scope. —SpacemanSpiff 17:51, 18 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
