- Question Why are you nominating two versions of this? -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 22:48, 29 August 2020 (UTC)
- Is the alternative Édouard Baldus's work? No it isn't. {{Retouched}} compulsory. added -- Basile Morin (talk) 01:24, 30 August 2020 (UTC)
- But good question -- Basile Morin (talk) 05:31, 1 September 2020 (UTC)
- Support as quite a good photo for that time. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 04:36, 30 August 2020 (UTC)
- Support per Ikan. It’s interesting to see that the verticals are leaning out a bit. Later, around 1900, most cityscape photographs carefully avoid leaning verticals (similar to what we usually request on Commons for new photographs as “perspective corection“ ;–), but it seems that this rule was not yet used in Baldus’ time. --Aristeas (talk) 09:53, 30 August 2020 (UTC)
- Support for the historical value.--Peulle (talk) 08:59, 31 August 2020 (UTC)

- Oppose Cropping a master's work like this is nonsense. In the content eliminated, is a cart of great importance. Overall the composition is definitely better originally with the line of the river starting at the bottom right angle -- Basile Morin (talk) 01:24, 30 August 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose I agree that it doesn't make sense to judge a historical photo except in its original composition. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 04:36, 30 August 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose only one image is displayed so I'll oppose both for crop. Charlesjsharp (talk) 09:22, 6 September 2020 (UTC)
