Description
English: Zhū Dé (Chinese: 朱德; pinyin: Zhū Dé; Wade-Giles: Chu Teh; zi: Yùjiē 玉阶; 1 December 1886 – 6 July 1976) was a Chinese Communist military leader and statesman. He is regarded as the founder of the Chinese Red Army (the forerunner of the People's Liberation Army) and the tactician who engineered the revolution from which emerged the People's Republic of China.
中文:朱德(1886年12月1日-1976年7月6日),字玉阶,原名朱代珍,曾用名朱建德,中国共产党、中国人民解放军和中华人民共和国的主要缔造者和领导人之一。中华人民共和国十大元帅之首,被中华人民共和国誉为革命家、军事家、政治家、国家的领袖。抗日战争期间,中华民国政府授予国民革命军上将衔。中华人民共和国成立之后,1955年,被授予中国人民解放军元帅军衔。

(For the People's Republic of China, the URAA took effect on January 1, 1996. For the Republic of China (ROC), the URAA took effect on January 1, 2002.[1])
