Look[edit]

The template looks terribly, I know it. Working on it. Help welcome.--Kozuch (talk) 12:24, 28 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe you can use this style : {{Created with/layout}}?
It renders like this:

Commonist no icon shows an icon[edit]

Pretty self-explanatory:

This file was uploaded with Commonist.

When not provided or left blank, it shows the Commonist logo. This is undesirable. 2A00:23C1:7195:2200:E760:2538:9AFC:B1F 17:38, 7 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Bold name[edit]

@Taivo: Please remove the bold highlighting of the name. It is not usual for this kind of template. Compare e.g. {{Povray}} or {{MATLAB}}. (I suppose that will also change {{Commonist no icon}} and {{Pywikibot}}.)
Oh, and the link should go directly to Commons:Commonist, and not to the redirect. --Watchduck (quack) 14:09, 15 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I do not understand the code enough. @Sarang: please look the request. Taivo (talk) 15:27, 15 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Taivo and Watchduck: : ✓ Done unbolded for the languages from ar to mk; rest will be done soon. Unbolded also Pywikibot/mk. -- sarang사랑 16:47, 15 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

No_icon ?[edit]

It would be easy to suppress the commonist icon for all language translations where that symbol is forbidden (hu, cs, ...). It can be done upon request, or after a consensual decision, by me or anybody else. -- sarang사랑 17:18, 15 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

There is no reason to do so. Watchduck (quack) 18:31, 15 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Can we remove logo of a murderous regime here?[edit]

Prominent logo is not really needed anyway for this template.

And given that it i using logo of a murderous regime - can we remove it? Mateusz Konieczny (talk) 11:29, 27 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

There is the alternative {{Commonist no icon}} for that reason.

default "SVG" in the text[edit]

{{Commonist}} used to show the text: Uploaded with Commonist     Now it shows: This SVG file was uploaded with Commonist.
That is obviously wrong, because all kinds of files use this template. (Probably most of them are JPGs.)
@Sarang: This is probably caused by your improvements of this template (which never needed improving in the first place). --Watchduck (quack) 15:43, 10 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you Watchduck, is it now better ? 18:56, 10 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, thanks for fixing it. (diff) --Watchduck (quack) 20:10, 10 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
