User Page[edit]

Hi Asclepias, could you please explain why my user page was deleted? I understood that there was another "User:Djehouty" somewhere in the world. But I have not found him. my user talk page is still in place as well as my German user page "Djehouty". Additionally, could you please explain how I can proceed the best if I want my former work associated to my regular account? Thank you very much for your help.--Djehouty (talk) 16:17, 25 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Djehouty, Like I said on the noticeboard, the talk page of the account formerly named Djehouty (account created on Commons 12 November 2010) was not deleted, it was moved to the new name of the talk page of that account : User talk:Djehouty~commonswiki. That happened because the account Djehouty on the German-language Wikipedia and the account formerly named Djehouty on Commons were not officially unified. You created the new account Djehouty on Commons on 16 November 2015. If you are the same real-life person who created the other Commons account in 2010, then you have two accounts: the older account now named Djehouty~commonswiki, and the newer account named Djehouty. If you are the same person, that means that there is not another person. There is only one person, you, now owning two accounts, Djehouty~commonswiki and Djehouty. If you want to change something in the organization of your accounts, I think it can not be done on Commons, because now the accounts are global. I see that you have contacted, on the Meta wiki, the user that had left the renomination message in April. That is a good idea. The Meta wiki is probably the right place to go for matters related to global accounts. But the user you have contacted doesn't seem to have been active there recently. I don't know how the management of accounts work, but you could probably explain exactly what you want on the page m:Talk:Steward requests/Username changes of the Meta wiki. There are probably the people who can tell you what you want to know and who can do something about it. -- Asclepias (talk) 06:40, 26 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
