Скажите, можно ли загрузить файлы под какой-либо другой лицензией, где не требовалось бы связываться с автором? Я буду ждать ответа вот здесь. Rinby (talk) 07:57, 16 February 2014 (UTC)

А как найти автора? Вы могли бы помочь мне разрешить эту проблему хотя бы на примере одного файла? Я был бы вам очень признателен за это.
Вы можете обратиться к веб-мастером сайта где вы взяли эти файлы. --Lenka64 (talk) 11:04, 16 February 2014 (UTC)

А как именно будет выглядеть согласие автора на лицензирование? Это какая то ссылка будет или что то ещё, каким образом мне это указывать в описании файла?--Rinby (talk) 15:54, 18 February 2014 (UTC)

Ещё один вопрос, чтобы не ошибиться. Я связался с автором и он просит более подробно рассказать об использовании файла. Какие ссылки о правилах использования изображений можно предоставить автору, чтобы он мог получить наиболее полное представление об этом? --Rinby (talk) 14:28, 19 February 2014 (UTC)

Picture of the Year 2013 R2 Announcement[edit]

Round 2 of Picture of the Year 2013 is open![edit]

2012 Picture of the Year: A pair of European Bee-eaters in Ariège, France.

Dear Wikimedians,

Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the second round of the 2013 Picture of the Year competition is now open. This year will be the eighth edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2013) to produce a single Picture of the Year.

Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year were entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.

There are two total rounds of voting. In the first round, you voted for as many images as you liked. The top 30 overall and the most popular image in each category have continued to the final. In the final round, you may vote for just one image to become the Picture of the Year.

Round 2 will end on . Click here to learn more and vote »

May I ask why is the reason behind reporting our photo? We have received the message regarding the picture 20131226黃鴻升獲三獎.jpg that there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please do tell us why because we are the ones who took the photo and the one in the photo knows about it too. Thank you. --Alienhuanghkfc (talk) 18:08, 2 March 2014 (UTC)

If you are copyright holder for this file, please upload it again and send the confirmation to otrs. --Lenka64 (talk) 19:45, 2 March 2014 (UTC)

For obvious copyright violations, please tag the image with {{copyvio}}. There is no point to asking for permission for an image which is quite obviously by a major studio and never going to be released as free. In the extremely remote chance that it would be released as free, the studio would surely not do it through the screenname of a random Russian Kazakh user. about german place names[edit]

Hello Lenka64, thank you for helping with categorization! I have seen your edits [1] and [2]. It looks like you have made only a "rough guess" about the locations of the photos in these cases ;) Please be a little bit more careful with adding categories. In the 2 examples the names "Rothemühle" (red mill) and "Falkenstein" (falcon stone) are more or less common/popular in Germany, and there are many places with these names. The first image is from Thuringia, not Bavaria. The second image is from North Rhine-Westphalia, not Saxony. This was already clear from the description or filename when you added the wrong categories. I corrected them already, so you don't have to change something now. Thanks and I apologize for these edits. --Lenka64 (talk) 05:59, 22 July 2014 (UTC)
