I do feel 'enchanted' to meet you (and your work, of course) here ;))

In case you're interested in "usual beginner's troubles" and, more important, in avoiding them (I bet you are), please have a look at User talk:Ossifant#Private Kurz-Begrüßung, und "die üblichen Probleme" ;) -- a guy who since app. 1-2 days is "a friend of mine" ;]]]

I'm going to improve on one of your uploads, to be precise: Image:Karin-schaefer-giacometti-stile-figure.jpg. This will be done tomorrow (=within 20hrs or less). Please do not worry if within minutes or within few hours some "bot" sends you messages that might let you feel like "being less-than-welcome" .

First steps for Uploaders may be quite tricky, BUT: You DO have an about TWO.WEEKS time to cope with such. Feel welcomed, no matter what some bot might "declare" on any of your uploads ;))) ! -- WeHaWoe 16:42, 23 May 2008 (UTC)

Hi, habe soeben in Image:Karin-schaefer-team-workshop.jpg editiert, da ich zwischenzeitlich das früher oben genannte als "Musterbeispiel" eines unbefriedigenden Uploads durch Einsteiger genutzt hatte. Siehe http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Village_pump#New_vs_old_Upload_Form Ändere bitte, falls gewünscht, ALLE Deine Uploads, aber den weiter oben genannten bitte erst nach ca. 7 Tagen.

Frage: hattest Du für den Upload eine Eingabemaske, die das Editieren einzelner "Zeilen" erlaubte? Anders kann ich mir nämlich nicht vorstellen, dass es zu dem von Dir erzielten Ergebnis kam (das imo in der WP nicht sonderlich erwünscht=nützlich ist. Aber, wie gesagt, keine Panik. Du kannst mich übrigens ebensogut per Mail wie HIER kontaktieren ;)

Your account will be renamed

Hello,

The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.

Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Petrovsky. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Petrovsky~commonswiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name.

Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
