Could you please explain...

There is something I can't understand. When you weighed in on User:Abigor's deadminship you wrote: "Everyone makes mistakes and administrators are no different than others, in that respect. However, we expect administrators to recognize their errors, apologize when appropriate, and to learn from experience. I don't see that occurring here."

When I read your comment it seemed to me it was a perfect description of why Jcb's reluctance to take the concerns of his challengers seriously should preclude his retention of administrator authority. Yet you endorsed Jcb retaining administrator authority. Would you consider explaining this apparent anomaly? Geo Swan (talk) 18:24, 11 November 2011 (UTC)

Hi Geo Swan; I could very well be wrong about Jcb, but I hope that he can/will learn and change. That said, I'll try to find time to have another look before it closes. Best wishes, Walter Siegmund (talk) 19:14, 11 November 2011 (UTC)

Thank you & endemic/political ?

A quite late - but sincere thank you - for letting me know about the Commons talk:WikiProject Tree of Life.[1] (26 April 2011 post to User talk:Look2See1). I posted a (long) response there today. I respect your views and opinions expressed on other biota topics, and sincerely wonder what you think about the [cat:Flora of] and endemic/political boundaries questions? Also, do you see a difference in how the categories are best used/not used for media categories vs. wikipedia categories?

I enjoy your great flora images, and always appreciate coming across them. If I ever add a category that's not in the spirit of or accurate to an image (or am over categorizing it...) please let me know - and will correct it. Best wishes, Look2See1 (talk) 00:43, 18 November 2011 (UTC)

Thank you for your kind words about my images. I responded to your TOL query there. Best wishes, --Walter Siegmund (talk) 20:04, 19 November 2011 (UTC)
