The map is interactive because you can drag it zoom it and click it (as opposed to the static locator maps im many (wikipedia-)articles). Check out a demo here and watch for the tooltips to see where the text you are translating is actually displayed. Apostrophe[edit]

labelSet[edit]

It describes the function that allows the user to choose the source and type of the labels shown on the map. Choices are either thumbnail-images from commons, or links to articles from wikiipedias in various languages (check it out, it's the second option in the settings panel). --Dschwen 11:42, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have enjoyed playing with the demo mini-atlas! I think that the English version here is missing an l - should it be 'Show labels from' instead of 'Show labes from'? I also had difficulty understanding what 'show labels from' did. Would it be more immediately understood if this said 'show interwiki links to' instead? Lloffiwr 21:04, 16 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"Aqua" and "Terra" are two satellites in the LANDSAT program that provide daily updated images of the planet [1] (showing up to date cloud cover for example). I offered those layers a long time ago, and I'm thinking of reactivating them. --Dschwen (talk) 17:54, 25 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Update[edit]

@Dschwen: I did some clean-up and corrected errors (alignment, missing final ,, missing '' for lang codes with -, having ' inside '' without \ etc.). I did not "mess up" with translations (except bs, hr, sh, sr, sr-ec, sr-el), only reordered them so we have alphabetical order by language codes.
You might want to check everything and correct eventual errors (maybe split(',') will have to be split(', ') because I added spaces so that page does not get horizontal scroll; maybe "-" in sr-ec and sr-el will cause troubles for split etc.).

Will every language get its translation even if there is only one translation (I think it should not, and if only languages that are on the bottom list for developers will get translations – what was criteria for choosing them [min num of translations, maybe])?
- Can sr-ec and sr-el go to the bottom list (they contain "-")?
When will translations go live? Currently, WikiMiniAtlas translations across wikis are updated incompletely (some messages are using translated code, some of them English, even if we have translations here).
