- Comment As far as I know, no FoP in France for the illuminated Eiffel tower. --Llez (talk) 09:07, 15 November 2021 (UTC)
- Yes, I think this is actually not copyright free... I did a quick search and found this article, saying: "Photographing the Eiffel Tower at night is not illegal at all. Any individual can take photos and share them on social networks. But the situation is different for professionals. The Eiffel Tower’s lighting and sparkling lights are protected by copyright, so professional use of images of the Eiffel Tower at night require prior authorization and may be subject to a fee.". This means the image needs to be deleted, right? --Peulle (talk) 11:16, 15 November 2021 (UTC)
- See also the header of Category:Eiffel Tower at night and previous discussions at Category talk:Eiffel Tower at night (and @Basile Morin's comment at the bottom in particular). Copyright status of this is at least questionable … El Grafo (talk) 12:51, 15 November 2021 (UTC)
- Yes, and in 2021 this protection by copyright is still relevant -- Basile Morin (talk) 14:45, 15 November 2021 (UTC)

- Info For reference, here are some deletion requests on a picture of mine showing details of the Eiffel Tower lighting : [1] [2]. I remember some user saying that SETE claims are bullshit but can't get my hands on the talk again... - Benh (talk) 18:25, 15 November 2021 (UTC)

- Support Yes, the SETE claims a copyright, but except for a light show which included fireworks and other light animations, it was not proven in court. Regards, Yann (talk) 19:29, 15 November 2021 (UTC)

- Support I have no idea whether we are allowed to keep this photo or not, but if we are, it is unusual and wow-y enough to be FP for me. Cmao20 (talk) 23:35, 16 November 2021 (UTC)
- Consensus seems to be "fuck SETE, If you dare, take us to court and we'll see". So I'd say this picture will be kept and we can safely vote. - Benh (talk) 18:36, 17 November 2021 (UTC)
- Abstain , as I generally do when there's an active deletion discussion going on. Daniel Case (talk) 03:27, 19 November 2021 (UTC)

- Support, great photo, regardless of whether the photo will be deleted or not. I'll hope the problem with photos of the illuminated Eiffel tower will solved. In Russia we haven't such problem — for example, you can photo Ostankino Tower in Moscow even it is illuminated. --Brateevsky {talk} 14:43, 23 November 2021 (UTC)
