Proposed sessions
[edit]- I'd like to organize a Nature photography workshop, covering some techniques on how to best photograph landscape and wildlife. Ideally, we'd spend some time outdoors with our cameras as part of the workshop. --Frank Schulenburg (talk) 03:23, 19 August 2017 (UTC)
- I'd like to organize an Optimizing photography workflow workshop, which will cover tips, tricks, techniques, software, and general knowledge on how to optimize your workflow (from shooting, to finished product) as a photographer and thus save loads of time. The workshop can be done indoors, as it is mainly theoretical. Petrovskyz (talk) 04:46, 19 August 2017 (UTC)
- I can explain how to develop with Camera RAW raw data and almost completely to an image processing can do without. --Ralf Roleček 12:59, 19 August 2017 (UTC)
- I can share my personal experience as well as the experience of the Punjabi Wikimedians as we learnt photography after getting a DSLR camera from the WMF. And also how Commons community helped us grow as we started uploading photographs. (I did share a part of the journey during Wikimania 2017 How I learnt basics of Photography.) --Satdeep Gill (talk) 03:53, 21 August 2017 (UTC)
- If anyone is interested, I can offer something similar to 5 years of Festivalsommer session from this year's Wikimania, but in terms of association football rather than music. -- KTC (talk) 10:12, 21 August 2017 (UTC)
- Maybe i could add a couple of details on that subject. --Ailura (talk) 12:41, 21 August 2017 (UTC)
- I can explain how to make a short documentary with a smartphone --Matthias Süßen (talk) 10:20, 21 August 2017 (UTC)
I'd like to do a session on how the scope of Commons relates to the scope of Wikipedia (in particular, a lot of content we should build up in Commons for reasons other than those of Wikipedia). - Jmabel ! talk 21:04, 7 September 2017 (UTC)I'd also like to do a session discussing the role of admins: what functions are and are not specific to admins, including gray zones. - Jmabel ! talk 21:04, 7 September 2017 (UTC)- I'd like to open the discussion that I suggested in Wikimania but was not accepted: The Odyssey of photographers in the Wikimedia movement Poco2 03:45, 8 September 2017 (UTC)
- As I seem to be the most productive user in terms of Featured and Quality content in Commons I can explain how I prepare the trips and maximize the results. Of course, I am open to any other content other users may want me to talk about. I ran a QI workshop in Tunisia last year, for example. Poco2 03:45, 8 September 2017 (UTC)
- I could do a hands-on session on 360°-panoramas (shooting as well as stitching). @Code and Diliff: interested in joining me? // Martin K. (talk) 08:13, 12 September 2017 (UTC)
- I can conduct a workshop on Documentation and street photography and also on Wikimedia Commons tools. Also can share my experience about some Wikimedia projects that I did or part of it. IndrajitDas 06:09, 28 September 2017 (UTC)
- I could do a session on taking/processing stitched panoramas, including using bracketing for HDR. There are other Commons photographers who have these skills too, so perhaps several of us could share experience with those who have yet to try this. -- Colin (talk) 12:03, 7 March 2018 (UTC)
