While translating it into Urdu, I found there is a little error, however, I cannot edit it. The current marking [//commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Commons:Translators'_noticeboard&action=edit&section=new post at the translators' noticeboard] happens to bring a result in translation like this اس کے بجائے فیبریکیٹر یا post ترجمہ نوٹس بورڈ پر مسئلہ رپورٹ کریں. It so happens because there is no _ in "new post" and it should be written as "new_post". However, there comes another issue then. As it is now, clicking on the "post at the translators' noticeboard" link takes one to this noticeboard via the CD tool (new topic that we find at the top of this page) but if it is changed to "new_post" in the link itself, the result is that the link opens up this page in the "edit-source" extension with just the header stuff available. You are right. Maybe @Minorax: can help here, since the page is protected. Could you move the closing tvar tag in T:2 from behind "post" to behind "new"? And maybe also remove the span tag in T:10? --Ameisenigel (talk) 19:05, 7 March 2023 (UTC)

New entry in template needs to be marked for translation

Dear translators,

in the context of my duties as the current “housekeeper” of the Featured Picture gallery pages, I had to add a new entry to the {{Commons FP galleries}} template. This is a translated template. The new entry, just the caption “Cemeteries”, needs to be (re-)marked for translation so that updating the translations becomes possible. Could somebody please take care of this? Thank you very much!

Special:PageTranslation

Hello fellow TAdmins, I noticed that we have a link to outdated Special:PagePreparation in the note placed at the top of Special:PageTranslation. Don't you think this is unhelpful and thus worth removing? Best regards, ─ The Aafī (talk) 11:40, 26 June 2023 (UTC)

I don’t think I’ve ever used it (except for maybe trying it out). But I wasn’t aware of the link either – it’s in a local override of MediaWiki:tpt-new-pages, which I don’t see as I use Hungarian interface. —Tacsipacsi (talk) 23:31, 27 June 2023 (UTC)

Just FYI

During the past days I deleted hundreds of "translations" to Simple English (tomorrow I'll finish that), performed by a user (probably a teen) from Canada (BC or AB). They obviously don't know the basics of plain English language and seem to be not even a native speaker. After they have been blocked on meta for "making many bad translations" they use several IPs, crosswiki as well. I blocked ns Translations for 6 months.
