Not voting.svg Thanks for your participation! The 2011 winners have been announced!

No saturation of votes in R1
No saturation of votes in the Final

That should be done next year[edit]

  • Beginning early so voting is open for at least 3 weeks and announce before and make clear (at the beginning of the year) when you want to have the results.
  • Refractor the templates so they use a switch with {{#titleparts:{{PAGENAME}}|1|2}} → 2011 (detecting the year, so concluding to ordinal (sixth) is also possible) so they don't need to be copied (and translated) again.
  • Have a bot running to automatically patrol all vote-edits.
  • Never hardcode links to toolserver or dates, instead writing them into one template and then, it's easy to change this template when required.
  • All the above OR a software-voting extension that is tested and can be accessed by all committee members.
  • A system of preferential voting in the final (drag&drop for example). -- RE rillke questions? 15:16, 25 June 2012 (UTC)
  • Instead of Template:POTY2011/date, can we use separate "date" as follows:{{POTY2011/date/R1start}}, {{Template:POTY2011/date/R1end}}, {{Template:POTY2011/date/R2start}}, {{Template:POTY2011/date/R2end}}?--miya (talk) 14:44, 1 July 2012 (UTC)
  • IRC channel name: this year we use #poty2011, but under the naming rules it may well be #wikimedia-commons-poty.--miya (talk) 03:22, 2 July 2012 (UTC)

This was nice this year, please keep it[edit]
