右近年讀清史所作雜文十二篇,次為一集以求正於當世。天挺早失怙恃,未傳家學,粗涉載籍,遠漸博貫,比歲僻居無書,蓄疑難證,更不敢以言述作,獨〓南來以還,日罕暇逸,其〓思有間恆在警報迭作晨昏野立之頃,其文無足存,而其時或足記也。通雅君子原其率爾操觸之妄有以匿其違誤,斯厚幸矣。中華民國三十四年四月十二日長樂鄭天挺書於昆明靛花巷公舍之及時齊,翌晨〓美國羅斯福總統於其日逝世,即以此書為之紀念。
