Happy New Year from cold Denmark

[edit]
New Years morning at my home.

Dear Hans,

A slightly delayed but nevertheless sincere New Years greeting from cold and snowy Denmark. I am hoping to see a revitalized Hans back on Commons in 2010 with more wonderful photography and critical reviews.--Slaunger (talk) 11:43, 2 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've sent you email. Please review it and respond as soon as practical, or else I may have to act without the full consultation with you that I would prefer. If for some reason it got lost please advise and I can re-send it. ++Lar: t/c 14:52, 4 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please help replace this outdated license

[edit]

Hello!

Thank you for donating images to the Wikimedia Commons. You have uploaded some images in the past with the license {{PD}}. While this was a license acceptable in the early days of Wikimedia, since January 2006, this license has been deprecated and since October 2008 no new uploads with this license was allowed.

The license on older images should be replaced with a better and more specific license/permissions and you can help by checking the images and adding {{PD-self}} if you are the author or one of the other templates that you can see in the template on the image page.

Thank you for your help. If you need help feel free to ask at Commons talk:Licensing or contact User:Zscout370.

The images we would like you to check are:

[edit]

Hi there!

I am very sorry. I misstyped it in cat-all-lot mode. I will correct it all and move them to Category:Black background. I am sorry about that!! -- Amada44 (talk) 15:14, 15 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

btw. really really nice pictures you have made!!! --Amada44 (talk) 15:19, 15 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please

[edit]

Dear Hans,

Please do not do this. The comment you have placed instead is not helpful either. Quite frankly i think you are deliberately trying to bait someone with the change. I have decided to take the bait before someone else does. I think we now all realize that you disagree strongly with how the checkuse case ended and that you are still upset. If you need more time, extend your break until you have steamed off. I personally think a lot of the stuff in the case was overdramatized. Unfortunately, you chose not to defend yourself, when you had the chance, and that did not leave much of a choice for the community given the observations. So my appeal to you is to please revert that change. Best wishes, --Slaunger (talk) 20:28, 16 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

When you come back...

[edit]

Please, when you are back from the real life to the virtual reality, and you have a lot of time :-), have a look at my photo

. I nominated it for QI, and received the following comment:

Nomination Grand-Place, Brussels, in the lights of a winter afternoon, from the balcony of the Le Cygne/De Zwaan/The Swan house, with the Breadhouse in the middle. --Szilas 08:51, 14 February 2010 (UTC) Decline Nice view with very vivid lighting, but several issues: Tree is disturbing, lacks some sharpness, has visible CA, barrel distortion, and perspective distortion. If someone could correct the technical issues, it could be despite of the tree QI, but this version cannot. -- Smial 21:40, 14 February 2010 (UTC) You know Brussels, you may agree with me that it is an interesting picture. I don't see any CA on it, may be the blueish patina on the copper sculptures on the roof, which gave this idea to the colleague. I don't know much about barrel distortion, but the perspective is all right for me. I especially liked the comment about the disturbing tree... - it very much belongs to the atmosphere.

But of course, let it be my biggest problem in the life. Anyway, I would appreciate your opinion any time in the future.

Sorry for disturbing you, best regards--Szilas (talk) 08:34, 17 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

My edit

[edit]

I have reverted the change to your user page. I note that a number of members of the community feel that it is appropriate. I also noted Slaunger's comment yesterday which you archived. It would be far better to engage with the community, who I am sure would be pleased to see you active, than to use your page as a platform like this. --Herby talk thyme 09:13, 17 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Explanation and apologies were not accepted and are now even regretted. Lycaon (talk) 10:41, 17 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
