Thanks for uploading File:Hosts of the Eurovision Greatest Hits.jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.

Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own).

Warning: unless the permission information is given, the file may be deleted after seven days. Thank you.

Well done for getting permission from the EBU, though I'm afraid Commons itself needs a written record of the permission in order for it to be hosted here. CT Cooper · talk 23:26, 1 April 2015 (UTC)

@CT Cooper: It says on the Eurovision website that the images are released under royalty free and can be used as long as the author is attributed. See this which has a statement from the EBU "Royalty free photos from the Eurovision Song Contest's Greatest Hits event in London. Please attribute the correct credits when using the photos for promotional use." That's what I have done. Wes Mᴥuse 00:02, 2 April 2015 (UTC)
It's a little vague, but it seems fine to me. I have clarified the licensing a bit more and removed the tag. CT Cooper · talk 00:31, 2 April 2015 (UTC)

File:EuroKaliningrad.png and others

When you nominate more than two or three very similar files for deletion, please use a Mass Deletion Request. VFC makes this very easy -- much easier and faster than doing the individual nominations. Having only one DR means that they can all be discussed in one place (these were non-controversial, so this problem did not come up in this case, but it is often messy), and it is much faster for the closing Admin to deal with them. Thanks, .     Jim . . . . (Jameslwoodward) (talk to me) 11:25, 23 April 2015 (UTC)

@Jameslwoodward: remember to assume good faith in an editor's actions. For the record, I had tried that but the template wouldn't work at the time of nomination. So in order to avoid delays, I opted for singular nominations, as I knew they would have worked out the same way anyway. Wes Mᴥuse 15:15, 23 April 2015 (UTC)
I had started a mass deletion for other files at Commons:Deletion requests/Eurovision flag hearts under different rationale. But the ones you're talking about were nominated under a different reason. Wes Mᴥuse 15:22, 23 April 2015 (UTC)

File:Eurovision winners map

Map of Eurovision winners must be updated, in order to correct the color legend for Germany, having won twice.

@Gvillarroel611: This cannot be done yet as there is an active discussion taking place at English Wikipedia over the issue. Wes Mᴥuse 09:46, 27 May 2015 (UTC)

Hello

Hello, I've seen you uploaded a photo to wikimedia Eurovision 60th anniversary [click]. Could you be kind enough to upload a photo of the singer Rosa Lopez who also attended that event ?. --El hobbit Guisen (talk) 18:32, 28 May 2015 (UTC)

@El hobbit Guisen: sorry but I cannot upload a photo of Rosa attending the anniversary event, as there are no images that are free to use. Wikimedia is very strict on copyright issues, and as there are no free content versions, then we cannot upload any. Wes Mᴥuse 19:07, 28 May 2015 (UTC)
And because the photo you uploaded if you can?. If there are photos of Rosa López click --El hobbit Guisen (talk) 19:17, 28 May 2015 (UTC)
@El hobbit Guisen: They are protected by copyright, we cannot use them. Only the one that was uploaded was given permission to be used. Wes Mᴥuse 21:41, 28 May 2015 (UTC)

Vandalism, Barbarian?

«Alex stop the vandalism. Discuss, do not vandalise.» This is not vandalism. It is a war of edits. And it sounds like an accusation. About barbarism I generally keep quiet. If you want to discuss something, do not try to continue the war of edits. To this end, users can reverted file to the last consensual file. Thanks. ← Aléxi̱s Spoudaíos talkrus? 11:49, 9 August 2015 (UTC)

@Alex Great: what do the symbols « and » mean? I have never seen these before in written context, only in maths at school. In English I think they are mathematical related. I assume they have a different purpose in Russian?
In Russian Gramacy it is quotation marks: « (opening quotation mark) and » (closing quotation mark). they are similar function like English “ and ”. See for more en:Guillemet and ru:Кавычки. ← Aléxi̱s Spoudaíos talkrus? 12:52, 9 August 2015 (UTC)
Oh I see. I didn't read the Russian article that you linked, as I don't understand the language. I am fluent in English, so read that one instead. As for this vandalism thing. A «war of edits» (also known as Edit Warring) is classified as an act of vandalism on Wikipedia. Just so you know. Wes Mouse | T@lk 14:08, 9 August 2015 (UTC)

All For One Caribbean: maps

Hello Welsey Mouse,

I don't know if you know the All For One Caribbean Festival, but it's a music festival in the Caraibbeans. While I can't make a map, I would ask you to create one... Here's a link where you can see the participating countries: https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/All_For_One_Caribbean. (It's in Dutch because the English Wikipage isn't already complete). Thank you in advance and kind regards, Ezeltje1598 (talk) 16:29, 31 October 2015 (UTC)
