The flag is created without references. I do not see any proposal for Tamil language flag. It leads to false idea on Tamil language. If not, uploader should give valid source in order to claim illustration work. Dravidian yellow cannot be adding to Tamil flag since Tamil is unique language.  Delete This flag has no official or unofficial usage, just being created and propagated through Wikipedia/Commons. If that isn't a valid reason to delete, then it should be renamed to File:User designed flag for Tamil language.png so as to avoid any unnecessary confusion for editors and readers. —SpacemanSpiff 18:06, 25 June 2014 (UTC)

Hello, The content in the page name File:Tamil_language_flag.png is not fictional or self promoting propaganda, it is just the new version of the old tamil flag File:Tamil-flag.gif it was officially designed under the request of "Department of tamil development" in tamilnadu state government. the new flag is to be officially launch at the upcoming international Tamil conference. and they are taking steps to announce the "tamil language flag" as the iconic flag for tamil community all around the world. uploading/promoting the new flag design through Wikipedia/Commons is a part of our promotional plans, to reach the tamil people globally. YELLOW color was used because its related to our culture & was once used by one of the tamil dynasty called "pandiya dynasty" on their flag. as i am the designer of the flag, hope i have all the rights over it & i assure you that the design/promotional activity dose not mean to create any false idea on Tamil language or the tamilpeople. since i have upload the file under the legal copyright regulation, i request you to undo the deletion of File:Tamil_language_flag.png the related page.
