Hello. I'm interested in becoming an admin on Commons so I can assist with keeping things clean over here. Specifically, I'm interested in assisting with image copyvio problems, which I have a lot of experience with on the English Wikipedia. (I led our deprecation effort to axe the problematic {{Copyrighted free use}} template among other things.) I only have about 700 edits on Commons, but I have 3 years of experience as an admin on the English Wikipedia (and 4 as an editor). Although I feel like I already have a good grasp of the policies here, I promise to tread lightly until I am fully familiar with all the customs and conventions of the Commons. Hopefully, I can lend a hand where needed and reduce the load on existing admins at the very least. Kaldari 15:55, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

- Support No question about trust. User is lacking experince from COM:DEL and has not got many edits in Commons: namespace, but we need experienced wikimedians willing to lend a hand. Thanks for volunteering. Finn Rindahl 16:29, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

ConditionalStrong support --fix your user page, plox(DONE LOL). :) The fact that you understand that Commons is not Wikipedia is something I like to see, and the fact that you have promised to tread lightly until you fully understand how it works here gives me a lot of faith in you. Be mellow, and please help keep Commons a drama-free zone. :) Lewis Collard! - Support Definitely gets it, and is a fun guy to hang out with. :) I'd also like to point out that he coordinated Wikipedia Takes Nashville, which garnered almost five hundred images for Commons. EVula // talk // ☯ // 17:57, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
- Support Collard put it very well as far as I am concerned. --Herby talk thyme 18:05, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
- I confess if the user continues to ignore the suggestion to change their talk page my vote may well change --Herby talk thyme 06:53, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
- Support I'm not as impressed by WTN as is EVula; most Tennesseeans are, as far as this effete blue-stater knows, illiterate, and so their taking lots of photos is neither impressive nor surprising. :) Nevertheless, I rather agree with Collard and Finn. Jahiegel 21:40, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, but these were in focus, and because it was during the day, we'd only had half a mason jar of moonshine. EVula // talk // ☯ // 20:00, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
Oppose Do not leave messages for me here.Support Rocket000 01:54, 29 May 2008 (UTC)- Comment Indeed, that's what I meant by "fix your user page", the "conditional" part of my support... Lewis Collard! (hai thar, wut u doin) 02:00, 29 May 2008 (UTC)

Conditional oppose per Rocket. giggy (:O) 03:49, 29 May 2008 (UTC)No further opinion. giggy (:O) 02:04, 30 May 2008 (UTC)- Comment - EVula was nice enough to tell me about the email notification feature on Commons, so I've turned that on and revised my user and talk pages appropriately. Hope that takes care of your concerns! Kaldari 15:00, 29 May 2008 (UTC)

- Comment good to think that you may be able to help out more here. Given that & the fact that the project is multi lingual could you maybe look at your user page & add babel info etc. Thanks --Herby talk thyme 16:09, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
- and please consider removing the heading on your user talk requesting others to only message you at English wikipedia. Regards, Finn Rindahl 16:33, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
- I have added a babel template. Unfortunately, I'm pretty useless for anything besides English :( I'll update the rest of my user page in a bit... Kaldari 17:01, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

- Question When would you consider it is appropriate to block someone, and when wouldn't you? By the way, how long should the block length be? Please say this in your own words. --Kanonkas(talk) 19:21, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
