- Oppose Sorry, it's a great new take on the old manhole theme, and I would gladly have supported if the flowers were not fused into yellow and white blobs. I think that could have been avoided. Do you think you could try a new shot? Perhaps a two shot stack of some kind. --Cart (talk) 15:07, 3 August 2020 (UTC)
- No, sorry. I can't take another shot. The area is closed. Perhaps my next visit is end of September or in spring. May there are other flowers. I'll have a look. --XRay talk 16:02, 3 August 2020 (UTC)

- Definitely a good compositional idea, but Oppose per Cart. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 23:56, 3 August 2020 (UTC)
- Weak support I like the idea very much and the quality is fine for me, seems sharp and I don't think the issue with the flowers is very important. My support is only weak because I don't think the subject itself is outstanding. I've seen manhole covers that are much more ornate and beautiful than this (here are a few beautiful ones on an external site) and as good as this shot is, the subject lacks the craftsmanship and elegance of some examples I've seen, so it doesn't really fill me with amazement. - Agree there are more special manhole covers, but what makes this picture particular IMO is the grass and flowers around. In one case, creativity is behind the product, in the other it is behind the camera -- Basile Morin (talk) 01:24, 9 August 2020 (UTC)
- Interesting. I do quite like your argument here and also below about the optimism of nature colonising difficult terrain. It's certainly a different way to think about it. In any case I did support this picture though. Cmao20 (talk) 17:04, 10 August 2020 (UTC)

- Support Forgiving the technical flaws (blown highlights). Striking composition with a green circle in a square and optimistic design showing how ambitious nature is to colonize hostile territories 🌼 -- Basile Morin (talk) 01:24, 9 August 2020 (UTC)
