- Weak support Although I think I would like this better as just the waves. Daniel Case (talk) 01:20, 18 June 2021 (UTC)
- I want to support.
Unfortunately, the top part of the image especially the sky has noticeable noise when viewing at full size.Buidhe (talk) 02:24, 18 June 2021 (UTC)- Support I prefer the first version. Buidhe (talk) 08:59, 18 June 2021 (UTC)
- Support per Daniel though --Martin Falbisoner (talk) 07:46, 18 June 2021 (UTC)
- Comment Buidhe, thank you for pointing out the noise, I have reduced it now. Daniel and Martin, I have tried just waves before and it didn't go down well, but in this case I can at least offer a waves-only alternative. :-) Let's see what people think. --Cart (talk) 08:35, 18 June 2021 (UTC)
- Support Would prefer this version. (IMHO the coastline provides something like an aesthetic counterpoint to the waves, so this version has more ‘harmonic tension’ for me.) --Aristeas (talk) 14:38, 18 June 2021 (UTC)
Oppose I think you can take these pictures anywhere in the world, sorry.--Commonists 15:20, 18 June 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose I'm not really wowed by this, sorry. The image has quite a lot of grain, and as for the motif, it's an everyday sight to me, so quite ordinary.--Peulle (talk) 21:00, 18 June 2021 (UTC)
- Comment Daniel and Martin, I'm sorry guys, I know you liked the waves, but I've removed the Alternative. Like I said I've had some bad experience with just waves before and this time it got seriously weird. You can look in the file history if you like, everything is preserved there. Personally, I'm just going to move on and clear my head of all the crazy shit that goes on here at FPC. I need a shower. --Cart (talk) 21:46, 19 June 2021 (UTC)
- I'll keep my fingers crossed for this version :-) --Martin Falbisoner (talk) 09:18, 20 June 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose While it’s surely nice, I am not really wowed by this. As for composition, it’s just too straightforward, and a pity that the opposite shore is mostly in shadow. Overall very grainy and poor detail. --Kreuzschnabel 18:47, 21 June 2021 (UTC)
- I withdraw my nomination Time to put this one to rest. I really like the scene, but I also understand that my small-sensor camera was not up for the challenge of a difficult light single shot photo. Thanks anyway. --Cart (talk) 11:37, 22 June 2021 (UTC)
