User namespace
[edit]Hi PattiParker. I moved PattiParker to User:PattiParker/own. I'm not sure what you mean on User talk:PattiParker/own. Kind regards, Trijnsteltalk 19:05, 7 October 2012 (UTC)
Thanks for that, but my question is how do I find this /own or the /gallery pages that you and the other admin made the redirect to? The only way I have been able to find the page is through your deletion note on my search PattiParker page. I am trying to make it easy to see some of my pictures in a way that the link on a single image that takes you to my user page can direct you to. I have put some gallery images on my user page that comes up when I follow the link from my wikimedia sign in navigation.if that is ok then I am not really needing the /gallery or /own pages. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by PattiParker (talk • contribs) 19:43, 7 October 2012 (UTC)
- You may find your uploads on Special:Contributions/PattiParker or Special:ListFiles/PattiParker. please sign your comments with ~~~~ btw. Trijnsteltalk 21:32, 7 October 2012 (UTC)
- The two subpages that Trijnstel and I created are User:PattiParker/own and User:PattiParker/Gallery. You can go to either one in the usual way for any page -- type the name in the Commons search box or click on a link.
- As you have done, you can put your photos on your user page User:PattiParker. As you get more of them, you may want to create user categories, see for example
- which are an easy way to keep track of all of them without having to add each one to a gallery page. If you decide to do that, please be sure to use the special syntax required for Commons:User categories. If you have questions, Trijnstel or I would be happy to help. . Jim . . . .
